Your story: Ryan from Isle Of Wight battles life-long tinnitus
I've had to deal with tinnitus for as long as I can remember and I'm not too sure what the initial cause was. When I was 13 my GP told me I would be deaf by the time I am 21 (18 months time) and I've always had the attitude of "oh well it won't happen to me" or "I've got ages to make changes" but I still to this day do not own any form of ear protection.
Tinnitus doesn't really bother me in my day-to-day life because I've got used to it for so long, but it severely changes in intensity after obviously being in a loud environment or when I've consumed alcohol (I have no idea about the science behind that?). I've pretty much had to deal with the fact that my ears have a constant high-cut filter assigned to them :(
